We are two of the grandchildren of Carrie and Royal McIvor, the couple on the left side of the above photo. This site is our attempt to record what we know of our ancestors so that our descendants will have some knowledge of the rich and varied heritage that produced both us and them.

Besides the McIvor/McIver Family of Bedford and Amherst Counties in Virginia, you will (eventually) find information on the Steen Family also from Amherst County, the Graham and Howell Families from Cecil County, Maryland, the Schnurr and Williams families from Wisconsin, and other related families.
